Today Noah and I traveled to Northeast Ohio to shower my sister-in-law-to-be with pre-wedding bliss. Ahh... love is a wonderful thing!
Aside from arriving late (darn that MapQuest!), it was a beautiful shower. Emily, my brother's fiancé, is a lady through and through, so everything was arranged to a tee in gorgeous pinks and silvers (the wedding colors). There were cakes on every table and the complementing favors were adorable. They said, "From our shower to yours," and were made up of a little silver tub, two shower mitts, a fancy bar of soap and a pink flower. So cute!
Noah made it a tad challenging to get a good look at the gift opening and to eat much of the delicious food, but I did manage to snap some shots of him hanging out with the fam.
Lounging with Great Auntie Peg (Great-Gram Dilley in the background):
Sherry (my cousin) and Anita (my sister-in-law) catch up across the table:
Rosalind (my step-grandmother) and Marcia (friend of the family):
Emily, our bride-to-be, opens her mountain of gifts:
Alex (my cousin's youngest... of four!) looks like I caught her offguard:
Noah has cake for the first time (good practice for his first birthday next month!), and decides the frosting is the best part:
My brother, Jeff, arrives with flowers and a card toward the end of the shower. Isn't he sweet!
Only a few more weeks until we get to officially toast the happy couple. The big event is slated for Friday, June 6th. Looking forward to it!
