Welcome, fall!

I had the day off today, which lent me the perfect opportunity to take a moment and just look out my front window. It was nice—really nice.

Our yard, though we have hundreds of trees, does not boast of many oranges or reds come this time of year, but for a while the yellow leaves pop like sunflowers. It makes my heart lighter to see these gorgeous colors, even though I know the raking and bagging is just around the corner.


And yes, it was as peaceful as it looks.
