Snow baby

It seems hard to believe that Noah—now almost nine months old—who lives in the country, had yet to touch or truly "experience" snow until last weekend. Blame it on the work schedule... we leave in the dark, and we get home in the dark, so that leaves little time M-F to play in snow. And the weekends? For some reason they disappear too.

But! This past weekend, on Saturday morning at my folks' house, David decided it was TIME. Why then? No clue.

Of course, we were completely unprepared for the occasion. Both of little man's snow suits don't quite fit. One is too small; one is too big. For the weekend, we had only brought his light winter coat (and not the super-stay-puff-outer layer). We had one hat, which he promptly pulls off every time we put it on his adorable head. And we've long forgone the gloves/mittens... talk about frustrating to ride hours in a car and not be able to pick up your favorite toy! And boots? Huh... no boots.

So, Daddy bundles up Noah in the cold-weather gear we had at hand, and he waltzes out the door to introduce Noah to snow. I think it's safe to say it didn't go well.

The whole "experience" lasted about three minutes, maybe... including the delay from me to "wait a sec" so I could get pictures. For the record, I think Noah liked the shiny element of snow, and seemed to think the texture was okay too. What really got him, I believe, is the darn cold temperature of it. BRR!
