Walking the Kokosing

This weather in OHIO in JANUARY is amazing! Shirking the piles of Christmas decorations that needed to be stored on Sunday, David, Noah and I instead opted for a four-mile walk on Mount Vernon's Kokosing Gap Trail. You can hop on it just 10 minutes from our house (which is convenient when you consider our country location), and it goes for miles and miles.

Noah was so excited to be out of the house, he leaned forward in his stroller like he was on a roller coaster.

I had a big moment—I spotted my first deer rub on a tiny tree somewhere along the trail. Since I'm about as far away as it gets from being a hunter, this was quite a feat for me.

Blisters aside... it was a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
