Quick bits

I'm not intentionally slacking... I'm busy! So darn busy, in fact, that my spare time goes to laundry, cooking, sleeping and hanging out with the fam. Just a few quick bits on what we've been doing the last month or so:

• My folks came to visit for a day. They were nearby so we got treated with company and Noah got to hang out with his grandparents. My mom brought an early Easter present—the REAL Buzz Lightyear, according to Noah—that had him over the moon. I was glad to have someone else be suckered into reading his favorite books and playing Elephun, which is only fun when you have fresh batteries.

And thank goodness, Grandma has to read about Woody & the Gang instead of David or me for once!

• Did you know our kid was cute? Even in a bathtub, wearing a Buckeye hat, he's cute. This particular hat he calls his cowboy hat, while jubilantly screaming, "Ride like the wind, Bullseye!" or "Hey howdy hey, and he waves his hat to the TV audience." Yes, he says that part about the TV audience, because that's exactly the way it's written in his Toy Story book.

He's getting clean, really.

• 30th birthdays are all the rage this year. We went to Dave Wilson's big affair last weekend, immediately following a 3:30 showing of "Disney Live!" at the Palace. Noah was part terrified, part enthralled with Mickey, Pooh, Handy Manny, & Little Ensteins, and he really, really didn't want the show to end (not at intermission, and not at curtain call). But, we made up for it by trooping him to the Wilson house where he got to explore a whole new room of toys, and play with kids, and have a big adventure. We ended up staying the night (it's a long drive!), and our little guy stayed up until the wee hours of morning, going strong the whole time.
