Bedtime-schmedtime

Our little man constantly asserts his independence, despite our best efforts to keep him to our schedule and our methods.

Tonight I rocked him until he was sound asleep and then put him down in his crib. I noticed he did his usual "tuck and roll," a new thing where even though he was JUST sleeping, he wakes up the second his head hits the mattress.

Last night we had fantastic success letting him cry it out after his tuck & roll... he crashed after only 5-7 minutes! So I was thinking he would do the same tonight.

Instead, we could hear him rustling around in his crib for 20-30 minutes, and then he started crying. David decided to inspect the situation. When he walked in the nursery, we saw this scene... one that lasted long enough for us to capture the moment.



So not only is our big guy STILL the master of his bedtime routine (when will that ever change?!), he's also mastered pulling himself up to standing. Thank goodness he didn't figure that out until tonight... we just lowered his crib a few days ago!

Let's hope the walking holds off for at least two months!
